Why Local Flowers
The majority of cut flowers sold in the United States are imported. They have been treated with chemical pesticides, packaged, and shipped thousands of miles. Local growers have an opportunity to provide you with a different type of flower. We are able to grow delicate varieties that don't tolerate being shipped. Our blooms are harvested within 24 hours of fulfilling orders and never leave clean, cold water post-harvest. Every stem that leaves the farm has been tended to by hand for anywhere from 2-6 months. Our crops are grown and sold using sustainable methods that build our soil, support pollinators, and eliminate plastic waste. For these reasons our bouquets are healthy, long lasting, and unique.
Our flowers are grown with an immense amount of intention and thoughtfulness. From crop selection to soil health to overall environmental impact, the farming decisions we've made are purposeful and discerning. Generally, this means that our approach requires extra effort and time as well as a dash of ingenuity. We work hard to grow gorgeous, long lasting, and sustainable blooms.
Buying local flowers is a conscious decision. One that does not go unnoticed by your farmer. Thank you for supporting a small farm, and in turn, supporting our community and local economy.
